What is the disavow tool?

Below are a few easy steps to uploading your disavow.

  1. Login in order to Google Search Console
  2. Go to https://search.google.com/search-console/disavow-links
  3. Select the property you want to add a disavow file to

If you had uploaded a previous disavow. txt file, your new one will override that one. If your file has any problems, you will see error text messages and be prompted in order to upload a fixed version.

While there is no guarantee that submitting a disavow file will help, there has been reports of success  when using it.

It will take some time to get Google to procedure the information you published, so you will have to have a bit of patience.

There is no way to really know if the disavow. txt file is doing what you would like it to do, yet keeping an eye on your position, organic traffic plus impressions could be a good indicator.
